About

London Modular Alliance is a three-piece live electronic act from London comprising Gavin Pykerman, Phil Ventre, and Simon Lynch. The group launched in 2016 with their first release appearing on Applied Rhythmic Technology (ART) in October of that year. The trio performs exclusively with modular synthesizers and no computers, creating all material through live improvisation using hardware sequencing and patch cables.

The collective produces driving techno and electro that spans 120-140 BPM ranges, delivering both peak-time energy and deeper hypnotic grooves. Their releases have appeared on respected labels including brokntoys, Hypercolour, and Central Processing Unit, with their catalog extending through 2021. London Modular Alliance's sound draws from classic Detroit electro traditions while incorporating modern techno production techniques, resulting in hardware-driven tracks that work equally well in warehouse settings and intimate club environments. Their live approach generates unpredictable arrangements that shift between raw, percussive electro and deeper, more hypnotic techno territories.
