lovetempo is a Brooklyn-based group formed by Mattie Safer, formerly of The Rapture and Poolside. The band consists of five members: Mattie Safer on vocals and guitar, Mel Chambers on vocals and keyboard, Andre Chez Lewis on keyboard, Mayteana Morales on drums, and Henry Raker on saxophone. The group began releasing music in February 2025 and has accumulated eleven releases across various electronic music platforms.
The group produces house music spanning deep house, soulful house, nu disco, and Afro house territories. Their releases appear on Razor-N-Tape Records and toucan sounds, two labels known for supporting contemporary house and disco variants. The incorporation of live saxophone and dual vocal arrangements distinguishes their approach within the house music framework, creating tracks that range from mid-tempo soulful grooves to more driving Afro house rhythms. Their output maintains consistent activity with releases spanning from February through December 2025.
