MaKaJa Gonzales

MaKaJa Gonzales is the alias of Dutch producer Alexander Hartmans, born in Nieuwerkerk aan den IJssel, The Netherlands on November 22, 1964. Hartmans began his career in 1983 as a DJ for Radio Contact in the Netherlands alongside Andrew McGabe and Michel van der Linde, later hosting shows on Fnoob Radio UK, Stormkraftradio-fm in Switzerland, and DJ International Radio in The Netherlands. He also releases music under the alias Van Maesen and works as a designer in addition to his music production.

MaKaJa Gonzales produces hard techno and peak time driving techno, with releases spanning raw, deep, and hypnotic techno territories. His music appears on labels including trench, STØK Recordings, and Elektrax Recordings, with his debut release in March 2025. The sound draws from his 1970s influences of disco and funk, translated into contemporary techno frameworks that cater to peak-time dancefloor moments and deeper, more hypnotic listening experiences.
