Map.ache is Jan Barich, a DJ and producer from Leipzig, Germany who began releasing music in March 2010. He co-founded Kann Records and performs as half of the DJ duo Manamana. Over his 12-year career, he has released 11 tracks across his own imprint and respected labels including Giegling and CircoLoco Records.
His sound spans deep house, techno, and minimal territories, with releases ranging from driving peak-time techno to deeper house cuts. Map.ache's music appears on Kann, the Leipzig-based label he helped establish, alongside releases on Giegling's catalog and CircoLoco Records. His productions maintain the refined, understated aesthetic associated with the German deep house scene, with his most recent output in December 2022 continuing to explore house and electronic territories suitable for both intimate club settings and larger dancefloors.
