Marcel Dettmann

Marcel Dettmann, born October 26, 1977, in Pößneck, Germany, began DJing in 1994 and serves as a resident at Berlin's Berghain club. The German techno producer operates two labels, Marcel Dettmann Records and Bad Manners Records, and has released music under the aliases Act and My Own Shadow. Dettmann made his first documented release in 2011 and maintains an active release schedule with 38 releases tracked through 2026.

Dettmann produces peak time driving techno and raw deep hypnotic techno, with occasional forays into house and indie dance. His releases appear on respected labels including Ostgut Ton, Dekmantel, !K7 Records, and 50 Weapons, establishing his credibility within Berlin's techno scene.
