Marco Bailey

Marco Bailey, born Marco Beelen in Hasselt, Belgium in 1970, began his career producing trance tracks for Dance Opera and Bonzai Records under the name DJ Marco Bailey. Around 1998, he shifted to techno production and adopted Marco Bailey as his primary artist name. In 2002, he launched his own techno label MB Elektronics, followed by a second label project called Materia in 2017. He has also released music under the alias Buraki.

Bailey's sound centers on peak time and driving techno, with forays into tech house and progressive house that demonstrate his range across the 4/4 spectrum. His productions typically maintain the high-energy, floor-focused approach that defines contemporary European techno, built for prime time club slots. Between 2009 and 2014, he maintained consistent output with 137 releases across various labels, establishing himself as a prolific presence in the Belgian techno scene. His evolution from trance to techno reflects the broader shift in European dance music during the late 1990s and early 2000s.
