Marie Vaunt

Marie Vaunt is the stage name of Sakura Marie Lopes, a Japanese-American techno producer and DJ from Los Angeles, California. Born December 12, 1983 in Seattle, Washington, she began releasing music in January 2022 and has since built a catalog of 48 releases. She runs the label Kurai Records and is married to fellow producer KATFYR. She also releases music under the aliases Bobbie Merveille and Sakura Marie Lopes.

Her sound spans peak time driving techno, raw deep hypnotic techno, and hard techno, with occasional ventures into house and melodic house & techno. She releases on labels including her own Kurai Records, plus Arcane Music, Set About, Codex Recordings, and HILOMATIK. Her techno productions favor driving rhythms and hypnotic elements suitable for peak time sets, while her harder material pushes into industrial territory. Her output has remained consistently focused on dancefloor-oriented techno since her debut, with releases scheduled through March 2026.
