DJ NME, hoy en día conocido como Mario Maroto, empezó su carrera como DJ/Productor en la década de los 90s, tiempo en el cual tuvo la oportunidad de tocar, y ser el evento principal, de básicamente todos los Clubes en Costa Rica, incluyendo el famoso Vértigo, donde se ha presentado una incalculable cantidad de ocasiones.

Hoy en día, Mario Maroto es un importante DJ/Productor de Techno & Tech, lo cual lo llevó a firmar con 82 Recordings, Land of VooDoo y Half Seas Over. Sus tracks están siendo apoyados por artistas internacionales como Dubfire y Steve Lawler

Sus mixes son cirúrgicamente precisos y armoniosos. Su CD, The Latin Techno Mafia Mix, impresionó en general en el WMC2009, donde lo tocó en vivo por Womb Radio.

Maroto reside hoy en día en Miami Beach, donde a sido partícipe en Clubs como Skyline, The Electric Pickle, y el famoso mundialmente, Club Space.

DJ/Producer Mario Maroto started his career as a DJ more than 12 years ago. During this time he played and headlined at basically every single club in Costa Rica, including the famous Club Vertigo incalculable times.

Mario has signed with 82 Recordings, Land of Voodoo Recordings, Half Seas Over Recordings, Killing Machine Records, Subsensory Recordings, Nude Photo Music and Logical Records from Spain. His tracks are already being supported by some of the most well known DJ's worldwide, including Dubfire and Steve Lawler, Ida Engberg, Audiofly, Jonny Cruz, Dsan Powell, Hugo, Mario Miranda, Kabuto&Koji & Mobius Strum amongst many others.

Mario Maroto is also one third of the Amore e Psiche proiect with fellow friends jonny Cruz and Joel Latimer (Cocoon) on wich they make some very groovy , melodic deep sexy and slower nu disco.

His mixes are all surgically precise and harmonically fluent in a much sought out manner.

Mario Maroto is now residing in Miami, Florida and has played at various venues such as The Womb internet radio, Skyline, the Electric Pickle the world famous, Club Space, The Crown Room, Bossanova Ballroom, BC's and several other venues around the Northwest of the US as well as a recently traveling to Barcelona, Spain to play at Sonar Festival.
