About

Mark Barrott is a British electronic musician from Sheffield who began playing synthesizers in groups in 1981 at age 13, inspired by witnessing Kraftwerk perform live at Sheffield City Hall. Born in 1968, he has operated under several aliases including Future Loop Foundation, Rocha, and White Maison, creating ambient and drum'n'bass music throughout his career. He relocated to Prenzlauer Berg, Berlin where he currently resides with his wife.

Barrott's sound spans indie dance, nu disco, organic house, and electronica, with releases appearing on International Feel Recordings and Anjunabeats since 2016. His music operates in the downtempo to mid-tempo range, blending Balearic influences with electronic production techniques developed during his early ambient and drum'n'bass work under the Future Loop Foundation moniker. The combination of his Sheffield industrial music heritage and Berlin electronic scene exposure creates productions that move between dancefloor-ready disco edits and deeper, more contemplative organic house compositions suitable for both peak time and after-hours sets.
