Mat.Joe

Mat.Joe is a German duo consisting of Matthias Neitzke and Johannes Schulz, based in Berlin. The project began releasing music in 2011 and has accumulated over 80 releases across major electronic music labels. In August 2021, they co-founded Prima, a Berlin-based artist collective and imprint alongside C'mon, Otistic, and Anacover. As of February 2024, Mat.Joe continues as a solo project led exclusively by Matthias Neitzke, who launched his own label La Bamba in June 2025.

Mat.Joe produces tech house, house, and deep house tracks that have appeared on prominent labels including Mother Recordings, Toolroom, Armada Subjekt, Repopulate Mars, and DFTD. Their sound spans from deeper, groove-oriented house to more driving tech house productions, maintaining consistent output across the underground and mainstream electronic music spectrum. The duo's releases demonstrate a focus on dancefloor-ready tracks that work across different house music contexts, with their label relationships indicating strong connections within both the European tech house scene and international house music networks.
