About

Mathame is an Italian electronic music duo consisting of brothers Amedeo and Matteo Giovanelli. The brothers began working together in 2013 while living near Mount Etna in Sicily, releasing their first track in February 2016. Their parents operated a rock-based radio station called Radio Taxi in northern Italy during the 1980s.

Mathame produces melodic house and techno alongside peak time driving techno, tech house, and deep house. The duo releases primarily on Afterlife Records, with additional releases on Souvenir Music, Arts Digital, b1, and Deutsche Grammophon. Their sound ranges from hypnotic deep techno to high-energy peak time tracks, maintaining melodic elements throughout their 21 releases. The brothers have evolved from raw hypnotic techno in their early releases toward more melodic house productions while retaining the driving energy that characterizes their Afterlife Records output.
