Matias Aguayo

Matías Aguayo is a German-Chilean producer and DJ born in 1973 in Santiago de Chile who operates from Germany. He founded and runs the Cómeme label, which serves as a platform for his releases and other artists. Aguayo also performs under the alias The Don, expanding his sonic palette across different projects.

Aguayo's sound spans indie dance, tech house, and techno with driving characteristics, often incorporating Latin influences into his electronic productions. His releases appear on prominent labels including his own Cómeme, Kompakt, Rekids, Crammed Discs, and System 108. His music ranges from mid-tempo house grooves to peak-time techno, with tracks that blend percussive elements and unconventional vocal samples. Since his first documented release in 2013, Aguayo has maintained consistent output across the electronic music spectrum, with 23 releases catalogued through 2025.
