Max (Italy)

Max is the production alias of Italian producer Massimo Pozzi, who began releasing electronic music in 2014. Based in Italy, he operates under the single moniker Max and has built his catalog across three years of active production, with his debut release appearing on Malicious Smile LTD in June 2014 and his final documented release emerging on the same label in September 2016.

Max produces tech house and minimal/deep tech tracks that occupy the deeper, more restrained end of the four-four spectrum. His 11 releases span three labels: Malicious Smile LTD, Baile Musik, and Younan Music, with the majority of his catalog appearing on Malicious Smile LTD. His sound sits within the minimal tech house framework, delivering tracks built for underground dancefloors that favor groove and subtlety over peak-time intensity. The production style emphasizes stripped-back arrangements and deeper basslines characteristic of the minimal/deep tech aesthetic that dominated mid-2010s underground house music.
