Metapattern
About
Metapattern is the primary alias of Austrian-born producer Peter Trimbacher, who relocated from Brisbane, Australia to Berlin. He began releasing music in 2019 and operates under the additional alias Helskanki. Trimbacher also forms half of the duo Voidfil alongside Pedestrian Planet, focusing on hardware-based live performance and production.
His sound spans raw and hypnotic techno through to peak time driving tracks, with releases appearing on MORD, ANAOH, Truncate, Hayes, and Renegade Methodz. Metapattern's productions incorporate elements of noise, industrial, modular synthesis, and drone alongside traditional techno frameworks. His approach emphasizes machine-based composition, blending atmospheric textures with harder-edged rhythmic structures across his 18 releases to date.
