MEUTE

MEUTE is a techno marching band from Hamburg, Germany that formed in 2015. The group consists of a dozen drummers and horn players, including members Sebastian John, Philip Morton Andernach, Thomas Burhorn, Sebastian Borkowski, and Markus Lingner. MEUTE performs electronic music using acoustic brass and percussion instruments, functioning as a live alternative to traditional DJ sets.

The band produces melodic house & techno, indie dance, and electro across tempos that mirror their electronic counterparts. MEUTE releases on Innervisions and has appeared on Beatport's top 100 charts since their first release in August 2023. Their sound combines driving techno rhythms with expressive brass arrangements, creating hypnotic energy through acoustic instrumentation. The group performs both on stage and directly within crowds, translating the thrust of electronic dance music through traditional marching band instruments.
