MGUN

MGUN is Manuel Gonzales, a Detroit-based producer who began releasing electronic music in 2013. He operates under the aliases Manuel Gonzales and Monzales Ganuel, with his debut release appearing on Don't Be Afraid Records in May 2013. Between 2013 and 2018, he released six tracks through the label's various imprints.

His sound spans peak time driving techno, leftfield house and techno, and house music. MGUN's productions for Don't Be Afraid Records demonstrate a focus on high-energy club tracks designed for peak-hour sets. His Detroit origins inform his approach to techno production, creating tracks that work equally well in underground venues and larger dance floors. The artist maintained consistent output through Don't Be Afraid's catalog until 2018, with his final release appearing in June of that year.
