Michael Cassette

Michael Cassette is a progressive house duo from Finland consisting of Erkka Lempiäinen and Matti Heininen. The project's identity remained mysterious for years until it was revealed that the duo originated from the Komytea collective, later adding a third member to handle live performance duties as the main face of the act. Michael Cassette began releasing music in 2014 and has maintained an active presence in the progressive house scene.

The duo produces melodic house and techno with progressive house foundations, incorporating synthwave elements into their sound palette. Michael Cassette releases exclusively on Anjuna Music Group's labels, appearing on both Anjunabeats and Anjunadeep with eleven releases spanning from 2014 to present. Their productions blend dance-pop sensibilities with deeper progressive arrangements, creating tracks suitable for both peak-time sets and more introspective moments on the dancefloor. The project's sound has evolved from pure progressive house origins toward more melodic territories while maintaining the driving energy characteristic of the Anjuna stable.
