Michal Basar

Michal Basar originates from Košice, Slovakia, but relocated to the Netherlands after visiting Rotterdam's Perron club in 2014. He studied audio engineering at SAE Institute in Rotterdam between 2014 and 2016, during which time he collaborated with various bands and developed his skills with professional audio equipment. Following this period, Basar focused on modular synthesizers and standalone hardware, which became central to his production approach.

Basar produces techno spanning raw, deep, and hypnotic subgenres, alongside electronica, Afro house, dance electro pop, and deep house. His releases appear on labels including Affin, Northallsen Records, and A_Files, with his discography spanning from 2025 to 2026. The Slovak producer's sound incorporates the tactile elements of modular synthesis and hardware-based production, creating tracks that range from driving techno rhythms to more contemplative deep house compositions.
