1) Moving from Lisbon, Portugal in 2014 Migs finds inspiration in his adjustment to fit in fast-paced London where he found liberation. It could be the story of any young person who has moved abroad and struggled to make the life for themself that they hoped for. In addition, Migs' work is influenced by the challenges of navigating the two different cultures of Lisbon and London.

With a simple narrative 'what did u expect' asks a clear question - What did you expect minorities would do in response to oppression? The extended play is being mastered by Grammy nominated producer , who enhanced the clarity and low-end to the tracks. Migs is inspired by artists such as and , who started by producing their songs around a story.

Ahead of the release of 'what did u expect' - Migs' debut EP - on 05/03/2021 Migs shares his lead single 'minimise yourself'.

'minimise yourself' opens the EP's narrative by demanding that all oppressors exit the scene. The single sees Migs as an empowered foreign gay man living in London. With strong 808s and melodic piano keys, the EP opens with a playful rhythm creating a safe space for one to unapologetically expresses one's queerness. The EP's lead single features a minimalist alternative pop language with distinct playful beats. Migs' signature sounds consist of powerful build-ups that transition into refreshing sections.
