Mijk Van Dijk

Mijk van Dijk, born Michael van den Nieuwendijk in 1963 in Geesthacht, Germany, begins producing electronic music in 1990 and starts DJing in 1992. The German producer performs live acts under the alias Microglobe since 1991 and operates additional aliases including Mijk's Magic Marble Box and Loopzone. He works at the Berlin club Dubmission and performs internationally throughout his career. Van Dijk is the brother of DJ Mat Mushroom (Matthias van den Nieuwendijk).

Van Dijk releases across peak time driving techno, tech house, deep house, raw hypnotic techno, and Afro house genres. His 16 releases since 2013 appear on labels including Phuture Wax Records, Trapez, BluFin, Kneaded Pains, and Superstition Records. His sound spans from deep house's lower tempos to peak time techno's driving energy, incorporating hypnotic elements in his raw techno productions and rhythmic complexity in his Afro house work. The producer maintains active release schedules with output planned through 2026.
