Mike Shannon

Mike Shannon is a Canadian DJ and producer from Kitchener who has been active since 1978 and currently operates from Berlin, Germany. He founded two labels, Cynosure Recordings and Haunt Music, establishing himself as both an artist and label owner in the electronic music scene. Shannon has released music under several aliases including John Shananigans, Sid Dithers, and Ohms, with his first documented release on Electrobuzz appearing in March 2010.

Shannon's sound spans tech house, deep house, minimal/deep tech, and peak time driving techno, delivering 16 releases across labels including his own Haunt imprint, plus Indigo Raw and Rekids. His productions range from deep, hypnotic grooves to driving peak-time techno cuts, showcasing versatility across house and techno tempos. The combination of his Berlin base and Canadian roots influences his approach to both the deeper, minimal side of electronic music and the more driving, club-focused productions that populate his catalog through 2026.
