Mike Wall

German producer Mike Wall, born Maik Marold, established himself in the electronic music scene starting in 2010 with his debut release on Black Brook Limited. Operating from Germany, he performed under multiple aliases including Maik:Em, Maik Marold, and MTBF throughout his career. Wall founded his own imprint Wall Music and previously established Orphik Recordings, demonstrating his commitment to developing the underground electronic music landscape. The producer died in January 2018, leaving behind a catalog that spanned six years of active releases.

Wall's sound traversed techno's harder spectrum, focusing primarily on peak time driving techno alongside minimal deep tech and tech house productions. His seven documented releases between 2010 and 2016 appeared on Black Brook Limited and his own Wall Music imprint, showcasing a style built for club environments and DJ sets. The music emphasized the driving, relentless energy characteristic of peak time techno while incorporating the stripped-down elements of minimal electronic music, creating tracks designed to maintain dancefloor momentum during prime club hours.
