minimal violence

minimal violence began as a hardware techno duo formed in 2014 by Ash Luk and Lida P. in Vancouver, Canada, before relocating to Germany. The project released its first material in October 2016 and remained active as a duo until April 2021, when Lida P. stepped down due to personal and health reasons. Ash Luk continued performing and producing under the minimal violence name until September 2022, when they retired the moniker and transitioned to a new alias, Infinity Division.

The duo's sound spans peak time driving techno and raw hypnotic variations, with releases appearing on respected labels including Tresor Records, Technicolour, 1080P, and Lobster Theremin. Their discography also incorporates electronica and downtempo elements, demonstrating range beyond pure club-focused material. minimal violence maintained consistent output between 2016 and 2022, with seven documented releases that established their reputation in the hardware techno scene before the project's conclusion.
