Mode_1 is the alias of Robert Kavanagh, a techno DJ and producer from Dublin, Ireland, who also releases music under the name Robbie Kavanagh. Kavanagh launched the Mode_1 project in May 2021 with his first release and has since put out seven releases across multiple labels.
Mode_1 produces raw, deep, and hypnotic techno alongside peak time driving tracks, with occasional forays into classic Detroit-influenced electro. His releases have appeared on Knotweed Records, Dust In Grooves, Konekt Croatia, End Of Dayz, and Token, with his most recent output scheduled for July 2025. The project spans from deep, atmospheric techno suitable for early sets to harder-driving material designed for peak time floors, showcasing Kavanagh's range across different tempos and intensities within the techno spectrum.
