About
Monkey Safari is a German duo comprised of brothers Sven Fröhlich and Lars Rühlemann from Halle, Germany. The pair began releasing music in 2010 and has operated multiple labels throughout their career, running Hommage from 2013 to 2023, launching HOVSE in 2019, and founding Good Vibes From Paradise in 2023. Both members maintain solo projects, with Sven Fröhlich releasing music as DJ Island and Lars Rühlemann performing as Borneo.
The duo produces melodic house and techno alongside tech house, house, and deep house tracks, accumulating 84 releases across their twelve-year career from 2010 to 2022. Their music appears on established labels including Anjunadeep, Get Physical Music, Spectrum, and Ritter Butzke Records, in addition to their own imprints. Monkey Safari's sound spans the deeper, melodic spectrum of house music, making their catalog suitable for DJs seeking warm-up sets and peak-time melodic moments across various house and techno contexts.
