Mono Junk

Mono Junk is the alias of Finnish producer Kimmo Rapatti, who launched his electronic music career in 2014 with releases spanning techno and electro. Rapatti operates under several aliases including Detroit Diesel and Melody Boy 2000, and founded Dum Records in 1992, which became one of Finland's first techno labels alongside Sahko.

His sound moves between peak time driving techno and raw hypnotic depths, with releases on respected labels including Cold Blow, Forbidden Planet, and both Skudge and Skudge White imprints. Mono Junk also explores classic Detroit electro territories and bass-heavy club music, delivering tracks that range from minimalistic raw techno to more aggressive peak time material. His catalog on Propaganda Moscow demonstrates his versatility across the harder spectrum of electronic music, with ten releases showcasing his commitment to the underground techno scene that emerged from Finland's influential 1990s movement.
