Richard McClelland, known professionally as Montel, is a Belfast-based DJ and producer who began releasing electronic music in February 2014. He operates under several aliases including Ric McClelland, Scope, and Adult Fiction, and runs his own imprint Montel Records. McClelland has maintained a consistent output over nearly a decade, with 31 releases spanning from his debut in 2014 through December 2023.

Montel's productions center on tech house and deep house, with ventures into peak time driving techno that cater to club-focused DJs seeking dancefloor energy. His tracks appear on established labels including Incorrect, Lapsus Music, Lost Records, and leena music, alongside releases on his own Montel Records imprint.
