About
Moto Moto operates as the electronic music alias of Masters Of The Obvious, a group originally formed in New Orleans in 1981 comprising Garret Hammond, Paul Caporino, Beck Dudley, Jay Castaldi, and Laurence Museum of Death. The project began releasing electronic music in December 2024, marking a significant departure from the group's earlier work.
Moto Moto produces peak time driving techno alongside afro house, deep house, funky house, and standard house productions across seven releases. The project distributes music through Alula Tunes, Alaula Music, and Rave The Planet, with releases spanning from December 2024 through December 2025. The sound ranges from high-energy driving techno designed for peak dance floor moments to groove-oriented house tracks incorporating African rhythmic elements and deeper, more introspective house compositions.
