Moullinex

Moullinex is the project of Portuguese DJ and producer Luís Clara Gomes, who originates from Viseu and now operates from Munich, Germany. He began releasing music in 2010, initially performing under the name Moulinex before changing to Moullinex in 2009 following legal pressure from the French appliance manufacturer. Gomes co-founded the Discotexas label, which serves as a primary outlet for his productions.

His sound spans indie dance, melodic house and techno, deep house, and nu disco, with releases appearing on respected imprints including Watergate Records, Crosstown Rebels, Nervous Records, and Exploited Ghetto in addition to his own Discotexas. Moullinex delivers groove-oriented tracks that blend disco sensibilities with contemporary house production, typically maintaining accessible tempos suitable for peak-time dance floor moments. His 37 releases demonstrate consistent output across multiple genres, with his melodic approach to house music attracting attention from both underground and more commercial electronic music circles.
