musclecars is a DJ and producer duo from Brooklyn, New York, comprising Craig Handfield and Brandon Weems. The group formed in 2018 and began releasing music in September 2021. They run their own imprint Coloring Lessons Records and received mentorship from Carlos Sanchez, who appeared on an interlude on one of their albums.
Their sound spans house, deep house, and techno territories, with releases covering both raw hypnotic techno and peak time driving variants alongside electronica explorations. musclecars has released music on BBE Music, Razor-N-Tape Records, and their own Coloring Lessons Records label. Their nine releases between 2021 and 2026 demonstrate a range from deep house grooves suitable for warm-up sets to harder techno tracks designed for peak time dance floor moments, with their music appearing on "Top Tracks of 2025" compilations.
