My Favorite Robot

My Favorite Robot is a Canadian electronic music trio based in Toronto, composed of Jared Simms, Voytek Korab, and James Teej. The group originated in Montreal in 2002 as a duo featuring Simms and Korab, expanding to include Teej after Simms relocated to Toronto. The trio launched My Favorite Robot Records in 2008, establishing their own platform for releases while maintaining connections with the No.19 Music collective.

The group produces deep house and tech house with selective forays into peak-time techno and electronica. Their catalog spans releases on their own My Favorite Robot Records imprint alongside appearances on Last Night On Earth and Alfa Romero Recordings. Active between 2011 and 2018 according to their release schedule, My Favorite Robot crafts house-centric productions that traverse the 120-128 BPM range typical of deep and tech house, occasionally pushing into harder techno territory for peak-time sets.
