Nathan Fake

Nathan Fake is a British electronic musician and producer from King's Lynn, Norfolk, born Nathan Paul Fake on March 3, 1983. Based in Norwich, he began making music in high school after discovering IDM artists like Aphex Twin and Orbital through radio and music magazines. Fake has released music under the alias Ex-Pylon and operates his own Cambria Instruments label, which released his latest album in April 2023. He has been signed to Ninja Tune since 2016.

Fake's sound spans electronica, downtempo, and techno, with releases appearing on Ninja Tune, Border Community, and Pampa Records alongside his own Cambria Instruments imprint. His productions range from ambient electronica to peak-time driving techno and house, demonstrating versatility across tempo ranges and energy levels. First appearing on Electrobuzz in 2010, Fake has maintained consistent output with 42 releases tracked through 2026, positioning his work within both contemplative downtempo territories and dancefloor-focused electronic music.
