About

Nathan Ganyu Haines is a New Zealand saxophonist and producer from Auckland, born January 18, 1972, into a jazz family with bassist father Kevin Haines and guitarist brother Joel Haines. He started his career in his late teens with Jazz Committee and Freebass before forming The Enforcers in the early 1990s. Haines also releases music under the alias Nate Juan and began appearing on electronic music platforms in 2025 with his first release in April.

His sound spans deep house, soulful house, and bass-driven club tracks, drawing from his jazz fusion and nu jazz background to create saxophone-infused electronic productions. Haines releases on labels including Foliage Records, In Dust We Trust, Papa Records, and Reel People Music, with ten releases charting between April and December 2025. His tracks blend the warmth of soulful house with deeper, more club-focused basslines, offering DJs both peak-time energy and deeper groove options rooted in his extensive jazz experience.
