Neumann is Pertti Olavi Neumann, a Finnish artist born October 11, 1959 in Pori, Finland, who began his electronic music career in 2022 after decades as lead vocalist and songwriter for Finnish rock band Dingo. Originally known as Pertti Nieminen, he adopted the Neumann moniker in the early 1980s and legally changed his surname to Neumann in 2000. Since September 2022, he has released 11 electronic tracks across multiple labels including INVICTA, Music4Aliens, Shadow Wulf, Enter Audio, and AlpaKa MuziK.

His electronic output spans peak time driving techno and tech house, with releases also categorized as raw, deep, and hypnotic techno styles. The tracks appear on labels that specialize in harder, club-focused electronic music, suggesting his productions target peak-hour dancefloor moments. His transition from rock to electronic music represents a complete genre shift, with his techno productions bearing no resemblance to his previous work with Dingo, focusing instead on driving rhythms and hypnotic arrangements suited for DJ sets.
