Nici Frida

Nici Frida is a German-born, Frankfurt-based DJ and producer who began experimenting with electronic music production at age 15 using Propellerhead Reason software. He released his debut track "Streets" on a various artists compilation before establishing his presence in the underground electronic scene. Nici Frida made his first documented release in April 2014 and has maintained an active recording career through 2022.

His sound centers on minimal and deep tech territories, with excursions into deep house and broader electronic styles. Nici Frida releases exclusively through DPE, a label that serves as his primary outlet for his productions. His tracks typically maintain the restrained energy and hypnotic groove patterns characteristic of minimal techno, focusing on subtle percussion work and atmospheric textures rather than peak-time intensity. Over his eight-year recording span, he has developed a consistent approach that favors underground dancefloor functionality over commercial appeal.
