Nightmares On Wax

Nightmares on Wax is a British group founded in Leeds in 1988 by George "DJ E.A.S.E." Evelyn and Kevin "Boywonder" Harper. Harper departed before the release of Smokers Delight, with the project continuing primarily under Evelyn's direction alongside members Robin Taylor-Firth. The group holds the distinction of being the longest serving artist on the Warp Records roster, maintaining their relationship with the Sheffield label since their inception.

Their sound spans electronica, deep house, minimal/deep tech, and nu disco territories, with releases consistently appearing on Warp Records. The group's approach encompasses downtempo foundations rooted in their early hip-hop and rave influences, evolving into deeper electronic textures over their catalog of 15 releases tracked since 2014. Their music operates across varying tempos, from languid downtempo constructions to more club-focused deep house rhythms, with live performances historically featuring MC Toz 180 and guitarist Chris Dawkins alongside the core members.
