Nocturnal Sunshine

Nocturnal Sunshine is the alias of British producer Maya Jane Coles, who began releasing music under this moniker in 2015. Operating from the UK, Coles uses the Nocturnal Sunshine project to explore different sonic territories from her main artist persona, also releasing under the alias CAYAM. The project releases exclusively on her own I/AM/ME label, distributed through BMG, giving her complete creative control over the output.

The Nocturnal Sunshine sound spans multiple electronic genres, from peak time driving techno to deep house and bass-heavy club music. Releases incorporate elements of 140 BPM dubstep and grime alongside more traditional house and techno frameworks, creating tracks that work across different dancefloor contexts. The project's six releases between 2015 and 2024 demonstrate consistent evolution, with recent output scheduled through 2026 showing continued commitment to the alias.
