Nova

Nova is a Dutch electronic music group that originated in Dordrecht in 1979, initially performing under the name PERU. The trio consists of Peter Kommers, Ruud van Es, and Rob Papen, who achieved mainstream success in 1982 when their instrumental track "Aurora" reached number one on the Dutch Top 40. The group also released "Sol" and "Ariane (The Traveller)" that same year before continuing under the Peru moniker from 1983 onwards, while maintaining various aliases including Erotic Dreams and Pavlov.

Nova's contemporary electronic music output spans tech house, house, and bass/club genres across releases on Nervous Records, UNDR THE RADR, Lapsus Music, and Opal Tapes since 2016. Their sound operates within the tech house framework while incorporating bass-heavy club elements, creating dancefloor-focused productions that maintain the group's electronic music heritage. With five releases documented between 2016 and 2025, Nova continues to evolve their approach to contemporary house music while drawing from their decades of experience in electronic music production.
