About

Francisco Martin, known as Oba Frank Lords, was born on May 24, 1964 in Havana, Cuba and immigrated to the United States through Miami, Florida at age five. He first gained recognition playing percussion on a Miami Bass production by Tony Garcia titled "Miami Heat Wave" which reached number one. Martin later formed the freestyle group Stevie B with high school friend Steve Hill before transitioning to electronic music production. He began releasing house music under the Oba Frank Lords moniker in August 2013 and also uses the alias Frank Lords.

Oba Frank Lords produces deep house, tech house, and Afro house tracks that span from groove-driven percussive workouts to atmospheric underground cuts. He releases primarily on the Made In Miami label, which has hosted five of his productions between 2013 and 2025. His sound draws from his Cuban heritage and Miami freestyle background, incorporating Latin percussion elements into contemporary house frameworks. The tracks typically feature warm basslines and syncopated rhythms that work equally well in intimate club settings and larger dancefloor environments.
