Obscure Shape

Obscure Shape is Luigi Urban, a techno DJ and producer based in Birkenfeld near Stuttgart, Germany. He began releasing music in 2015 and forms half of the duo SHDW & Obscure Shape alongside Marco Bläsi. Urban co-founded the record label From Another Mind with his duo partner and has released music under the aliases Urbano and Luigi Urban. He has maintained a prolific output with 57 releases spanning nearly a decade of activity.

His sound ranges from raw and hypnotic techno to peak-time driving material, with releases spanning techno, deep house, and minimal deep tech territories. Urban releases on labels including From Another Mind, Clergy, Rekids, Mutual Rytm, and Mitsubasa. His productions demonstrate versatility across the techno spectrum, from deeper hypnotic cuts suitable for extended sets to harder peak-time material designed for main room impact. The consistency of his release schedule and label roster positions him as a reliable source for functional club tracks across multiple techno subgenres.
