Octal Industries

Octal Industries began as a collaboration in 2004 between Michael Sickinger from the USA and Jonas Thor Gudmundsson from Iceland. The project is now solely the work of Gudmundsson, who also operates under the Ruxpin alias. Gudmundsson maintains the Octal Industries moniker alongside his other projects including Orlando Careca.

The project delivers peak time and driving techno alongside raw, deep, and hypnotic variations, with forays into minimal and deep tech territories. Octal Industries has released music on respected labels including Rawax, Taped Artifact, Vade Mecum, and Lempuyang since 2017. The sound centers on driving rhythms suitable for peak hours, while the raw and hypnotic material explores deeper, more introspective techno territories. Gudmundsson's output under this alias spans from floor-focused peak time tracks to more contemplative minimal productions.
