Octave

Octave is the production alias of Romanian artist Octavian Teodorescu, born January 29, 1963, and based in Bucharest. He began releasing electronic music in 2012, with his first release appearing on May 19 of that year. Over the past decade, Octave has released 22 tracks across multiple labels including Nazca, Handcrafted Label, Na Zrak Records, and Maru, while also self-releasing material independently.

Octave's sound spans peak time techno and driving rhythms alongside minimal deep tech and deep house territories. His releases demonstrate a range from the harder-edged techno found on labels like Nazca to more groove-oriented tech house and house productions. The Romanian producer's output maintains consistent quality across tempo ranges, moving between the hypnotic minimalism of deep tech and the energy demands of peak time techno floors. His most recent material continues this genre-fluid approach, with releases scheduled through 2026 showing his ongoing productivity in the underground electronic scene.
