Octo Octa

Octo Octa is the project of Maya Bouldry-Morrison, a Chicago-born producer who relocated to Brooklyn, New York. She began releasing music in 2012 and co-founded the record label T4T LUV NRG with partner Eris Drew. Bouldry-Morrison also produces under the alias Groovy Girl and came out as a transgender woman in 2016, though she began transitioning as early as 2012.

Her sound spans deep house, house, and peak time driving techno, with 19 releases across labels including her own T4T LUV NRG, Deepblak, Argot, Love Notes From Brooklyn, and Honey Soundsystem Records. Octo Octa's productions range from introspective deep house cuts to driving dancefloor techno, maintaining consistent output from her 2012 debut through 2025. Her releases on T4T LUV NRG particularly showcase the label's focus on LGBTQ+ artists within the house and techno community.
