October is the alias of Julian Raymond Smith, a techno DJ and producer born in Istanbul, raised in the Netherlands, and based in Bristol. Smith began releasing music under the October moniker in 2012, with his debut appearing on Happy Skull that April. He also produces under his real name Julian Smith as an additional alias.

October's sound spans peak time driving techno and deep house, with releases distributed across respected underground labels including Skudge Records, Tempa, No Corner, and Honey Soundsystem Records.
