Opal Sunn is a duo comprising Alex Kassian and Hiroaki OBA. The project began releasing music in February 2020 with their debut appearing on Touch From A Distance. Over their five-release catalog, they have also worked with ESP Institute.
Their sound spans house, deep house, and melodic house & techno territories, incorporating ambient and electronica elements. The duo's productions blend rhythmic house structures with atmospheric textures, creating tracks that work both on dancefloors and in listening contexts. Their releases on Touch From A Distance and ESP Institute demonstrate a consistent approach to melodic electronic music that balances dancefloor functionality with deeper sonic exploration.
