Orbital

Orbital is a British electronic group formed in 1989 by brothers Paul and Phil Hartnoll in Sevenoaks. The duo has operated under aliases including Industry Standard and P&P Hartnoll throughout their career. Their output spans techno, house, electronica, and indie dance, with recent releases appearing on London Music Stream and London Records (Because Ltd) starting in 2021.

The brothers produce driving techno and peak-time house tracks alongside more experimental electronica and indie dance material. Their sound encompasses the energy spectrum from introspective electronic compositions to high-tempo dancefloor-focused productions. Orbital's 16 releases since 2021 demonstrate their continued evolution across multiple electronic subgenres, maintaining relevance in both underground techno circuits and broader electronic music contexts. Their music draws from big beat and IDM influences while delivering the driving rhythms expected from veteran UK techno producers.
