Orlando Voorn

Orlando Voorn, born April 25, 1968, in Amsterdam, began DJing at age 12 and won the Dutch DMC DJ Championships in 1986. The Dutch producer operates under aliases including Playboy, The Stalker, and Fix, establishing himself as one of the first Dutch artists to connect Detroit techno with Amsterdam's electronic scene. Voorn has released 69 tracks since 2010, appearing on labels including Above Board Projects, Triangle.Records, Kompakt, and Heist Recordings.

Voorn produces techno ranging from peak time driving cuts to deep house explorations, with recent releases spanning melodic house & techno and classic electro influences. His sound moves between the harder-edged techno found on Triangle.Records and the more refined melodic productions released through Kompakt. The Amsterdam-based artist maintains consistent output across multiple genres, with his catalog demonstrating equal facility in both dancefloor-focused peak time material and deeper, more introspective house productions that reflect his three-decade career bridging Detroit's influence with European sensibilities.
