Pacifica

Pacifica is the name of several artists and bands:

1. Pacifica is an Argentina-based rock duo made up of Inés Adam and Martina Nintzel who met in 2021 through a mutual Instagram follower and their love for The Strokes. When they met (January 2021), they recorded a cover that went well on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=inPrvvFQCxs). They recorded a couple more covers, but in December 2021, a follower bought them tickets to watch The Strokes in New York City. While they were there, they played a few shows and started going by the name Pacifica (because of the guitar model). A label scout was at one of the shows and they got offered a record deal. Martina decided to stop studying biology and Inés to quit her job, in order to commit to the band 100%. They started working on their debut album "Freak Scene", and after lots of work released it in September 2023. As of 2024, they´ve played in Argentina, Europe, United States, Mexico, and Brazil, and their sophomore album is on the works.

2. Pacifica is a Philadelphia-based electronic music artist with releases over the past decade on tbtmo, Skylab Operations, and Endorphin (UK) plus tracks on releases from Darla, Double Bass (Japan), and others. Rod (Pacifica) also records w/ wife Wilynda as Collette Carter and produces & collabs w/ many others.

3. Pacifica was an alternative rock/post-hardcore band originally hailing from Ewa Beach, Hawaii, United States, formed in 2006. The band re-located to Fullerton/Orange County, California. The band currently consists of guitarists John Mata and Jay Donato, bassist Ikaika Trujillo, and drummer Ricky Jumper. They released two EP's: Transient Colors (2008) & The Process Of Illumination (2010).

5. Project started in 1995 by the drummer of Zapato 3, Diego Márquez (Caracas, Venezuela). In Pacífica, Márquez moves away from the drums and is in charge of the voices and guitar.
