Palmbomen II

Palmbomen II is the project of Amsterdam-based producer Kai Hugo, who began releasing music under this alias in 2015. Hugo operates as a solo artist, launching his electronic music career with releases on the respected Dekmantel label before expanding to 1080P.

His sound spans house and techno territories, with a focus on peak time driving techno that maintains leftfield sensibilities. Palmbomen II's releases on Dekmantel and 1080P showcase a range from deeper house cuts to more aggressive techno productions, delivering the kind of electronic music that works equally well in intimate club settings and larger festival environments. Between 2015 and 2019, Hugo released six records that demonstrate his ability to craft both dancefloor-focused tracks and more experimental leftfield house and techno compositions.
