Pan/Tone

Pan/Tone is the Berlin-based project of Canadian producer Sidney Sheldon Thompson, who operates under multiple aliases including Sid LeRock and Gringo Grinder. Originally from Ontario, Thompson founded the labels Cereal/Killers and Beachcoma before establishing his presence in the German capital's electronic music scene. His Pan/Tone moniker first appeared on record in April 2010, marking the beginning of an eight-year run of releases that concluded in April 2018.

Pan/Tone's productions span tech house, peak-time techno, deep house, and progressive house, with all six releases appearing exclusively on the Dantze label. His sound operates within driving, club-focused territories that range from the deeper, minimal tech spectrum to more aggressive peak-time techno arrangements. The music maintains consistent energy levels suitable for prime-time DJ sets, with Thompson's Canadian origins and Berlin residency informing a sound that bridges North American production sensibilities with European club floor dynamics.
